Spotlight on GK3: Vint Cerf Tells GKP ICT Crucial to Global Human Development

Vint Cerf, Vice President and Chief Internet Evangelist, Google Inc. and known as the "Father of the Internet" says, "Never before in history have we had the collective opportunity to artificially enhance our ability to discover, organize and process information. With digital technology we can empower our ability to think, in the same way that the electric motor allowed us to enhance the power of human muscle. We can put digital technology to work, in as small or large a quantity as needed, wherever it is needed. If ever a technology defined an era of human development, ICT has that role in the 21st Century."
