[greater_noakhali] Consultation meeting on the draft on the Right to Information Ordinance 2008

Greetings from Participatory Research & Action Network-PRAN!

It's a good news for us that, Government of Bangladesh has published
a draft on the Right to Information Ordinance 2008. It has published in the website of Information ministry (www.moi.gov.bd) of GoB to collecting people's comments on the Act. Any interested person could put comments on draft Act until 23 March '08
We want to engage us in the process and take the opportunity. We believe peoples engagement and analysis is very necessary to make a peoples orientated, welfare and realistic policy. Specially: 85% of rural people of the country are supposed to review this Act and provide necessary comments from their part basing on their information need.  
In this connection, we are going to organize 07 district level consultation meeting on the draft on the Right to Information Ordinance 2008  in  Noakhali, Laksmipur, Feni, Barishal, Jalokathi and Patuakali district head quarters with Journalist, Lawyer, Development activist, ICT practitioner, Civil society, youth and representative from various professional groups.
