with all respect to u, I feel to say something. Army or military is not to be compared with any of the service/profession, coz that is of special type. ami janina apni kothai asen, but I'm sure, other than military service, nobody joins his/her service by taking OATH that he/she will be ready to face a bullet/ give the life anytime....anywhere.....WITHOUT ANY QUESTION. it doesn't matter whether he is an officer or soldier. they remain ready at all times to give their life for the nation. jokhon crisis hoy, tokhon kintu military'r member rai nijer family....bhai....bon fele mrittyur mukhe egiye jai, ar baki general people ra kintu nijer family shamlaite ar polaite besto hoiya pore. so what for we'll sacrifice our life....family???
u talked abt special facillities. actually I was smiling while reading this comment and thinking that, "Nodir epar kohe ccharia nisshash..........". for ur kind info, officers can avail transport facility once a week (on payment), NOT ANYTIME (eita mama barir moa na re bhai) and for 4 hrs. and most of the time, officers below the rank of Major doesn't get that chance due to shortage of vehicle. do u know the status of a Major according to Warrant of Precedence???? I think no. he is equivallent to Deputy Secy(DS)....SP of Police. do u know what transport facility a DS of SP gets?????? any police officer, whether he is an ASP, Sr ASP, Addl SP (these 3 are Junior to Major) or SP gets Full time vehicle to use for any purpose (though there is limits of KM but I've not seen anyone following that). in compare to that, a major is using an on payment transport for 4 hrs in a week.........which u ppl can't tolerate. see the fun:D. let alone other facilities which Police officers and others get but Military officer doesn't get. like a DS or UNO or SP gets a Banglow type/or big house to reside whereas Army officer gets an old quarter which also have acute shortage and many officers had to rent house. an UNO, SP gets Mali, cook, and other helping hands all the time but an army officer, if he is not very senior (level of Addl Secy, DIG) doesn't get that. there are many more. but kakossho poribedon kore to lav nai, bahir theke onek kisui chakochikkyomoy mone hoy, ja dekhe superficial comment amra bangali ra valoi kore thaki.
I think shortly u'll say that military officer and soldiers should have same status, same salary,.....same facility....bla bla bla, because all are human and u ppl are very much humanitarian. do u know that officers take their food in mess on payment? per day for 3 meals, each have to pay on an average 150 Tk? whereas the soldiers are getting those food for free???? actually lot many logics i can site but I thing those will be ORONNE RODON. ami ahsole murkher moto emon uncomparable matter nia compare korte chai na.......ota bokader kaaj.
