[ Noakhali Online Group ] Man May come and man may go

Brigadier General Mohammad Jahangir Hossain was born a humble Muslim family of Khoraar para Bhuiyan Bari, Begumgang, Noakhali on 12th September 1956; He was the eldest son of Late ABM Delwar Hossain Bhuiyan. After passing Secondary School Certificate from Sahid Ramizuddin School & Higher Secondary Certificate from Dhaka College he joined Bangladesh Military Academy on 22nd April 1977 He was commissioned in Bangladesh Army on 18th June 1978 with Special Short Service Course-6. He Joined 10th East Bengal Regiment on Commission and then served in 29th, 2nd, and 4th battalion of the East Bengal Regiment. He held many staff and instructional appointments like Instructor class B & C in School of Infantry and Tactics, Brigade Major of 105 Infantry Brigade, General Staff Officer Grade-1, in Headquarters 33 Infantry Division. He was second in commend in 42nd Battalion, The East Bengal Regiment and later commanded the same unit. He also commanded Two Bangladesh Rifles Battalion and was sector commander in Khulna. He commanded Two Infantry Brigades 52 and 77 infantry Brigade till dead. He did his staff course from Defence Service Command and Staff College in 1992 and attends National Defence Course in 2004. He was a United Nations Military Observer in Ruanda. He was happy married to Mrs. Lutfun Nahar Parvin & they were blessed with a son "Shamol" and a daughter "Lubaba". Brigadier General Mohammad Jahangir Hossain was a man with positive approach in all-professional and social activities. He was very pious, honest, lively, humorous and kind hearted. He suffered a Brain hemorrhage on 11th March 2006 at 8.30pm at Mymensing cantonment, and transferred him to Dhaka CMH on 12th March at 8.30am. He fought and fought and fought like a real infantryman and then left us on 17th March 2006 (Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi rajun).
